Shri Honaidevi Temple was originally constructed in Hemadpanthi style of architecture. History dates back to 1076 AD. Raja Mohan Devray and all-time great warrior king Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had visited this deity for blessings. (Source: Tamrapatra in ancient records of Archaeological Dept.)
Now temple is being revived in Stone and GRC (Glass Reinforced Concrete) structure beauty its own. The stone work is the piece of marvel as an ancient architecture. It will last centuries together. The development of temple is supported by devotees in Panchakroshi (all nearby villages). This will be a milestone in the modern era construction with zero energy emission.
Shri Honaidevi Temple is Green temple; villagers have planted almost One Lakh trees in the vicinity of temple since last 12 years. Temple Management takes utmost care to protect environment.
Shri Kshetra Honai Devi Mandir (under construction) is located on Honai Hill at Hatnur Village, Taluka Tasgaon, District Sangli. Hatnur is 14 km from Tasgaon via Gotewadi. And 18km from Tasgaon via Visapur.
